Liverpool FC has announced a new global, multi-year agreement with PayPal, naming the U.S.-based company the club’s official digital payments partner. The deal marks PayPal’s first-ever collaboration with a Premier League club, expanding its sports portfolio and integrating its payment ecosystem more deeply into football environments.

The partnership will see PayPal enhance fan transactions across Liverpool’s digital platforms, retail channels and matchday operations, reflecting the club’s broader strategy of upgrading supporter-facing technology and streamlining e-commerce processes.

PayPal Accelerates Its Football Strategy Through Premier League Entry

With more than 400 million active accounts across 200 markets, PayPal is positioning itself within football as it looks to extend its global consumer footprint. The company supports transactions in 25 currencies and brings long-standing expertise in fast, secure and flexible digital payments.

Liverpool FC confirmed that PayPal will become the preferred digital payment method across LFC’s online properties, including e-commerce and the club’s All Red membership platform. The integration includes enhanced placement of PayPal during checkout flows and a broader presence across the club’s matchday retail environment.

Launch of PayPal+ Loyalty Programme for Fans Liverpool FC PayPal

One new element of the partnership is the introduction of PayPal+, PayPal’s first-ever loyalty programme. Liverpool supporters will earn reward points for purchases made using PayPal during matchdays, creating an incentive layer within the club’s fan-commerce ecosystem.

Although details of the programme’s wider rollout have not been disclosed, positioning PayPal+ within a Premier League club provides the company with a high-visibility channel to test behavioural incentives for digital payments in a high-frequency consumer environment.

Brand Visibility Across Anfield and LFC Venues

As part of the multi-year agreement, PayPal branding will appear across:

• Anfield

• St Helens Stadium (home of LFC Women)

• LFC digital assets

• E-commerce payment screens

• Matchday touchpoints

This aligns PayPal with a club that has one of the largest global fanbases in football, giving the company recurring exposure across match broadcasts, venue traffic and digital commerce.

Support for Women’s Football and Grassroots Initiatives

The collaboration also extends to community and development areas. Liverpool FC and PayPal will work together on initiatives designed to:

• Raise the visibility of Liverpool FC Women

• Support grassroots programmes operated by the LFC Foundation

• Create development pathways for young players
