AS Roma has announced a new strategic partnership with European airline Wizz Air, which will see the carrier become a Main Partner of the club and feature as a shirt-sleeve sponsor beginning with Roma’s Serie A match against Como on 15 December at the Stadio Olimpico.

The agreement adds Wizz Air to Roma’s commercial partner portfolio and marks the airline’s first appearance on the club’s matchday kit.

Commercial Scope of the Agreement AS Roma Wizz Air

Under the partnership, Wizz Air branding will appear on AS Roma’s jersey sleeve, as well as across matchday assets, digital platforms and selected fan engagement initiatives. The deal positions the airline prominently within Roma’s commercial ecosystem at a time when clubs increasingly prioritise visible, broadcast-friendly inventory such as kit sleeves.

In addition to branding rights, the partnership includes joint activations aimed at travelling supporters, with a focus on matchday mobility, away fixtures and international fan engagement. No financial details of the agreement have been disclosed.

A Platform for Expansion, Not a One-Off Deal

Wizz Air executives described the partnership as the airline’s first major collaboration with a football club and positioned Roma as a strategic, rather than transactional, partner. Although no commitments beyond the current and next season were confirmed, both sides left the door open to potential expansion of the relationship over time.

AS Roma executives indicated that the agreement fits within a longer-term vision that prioritises partner compatibility, operational integration and sustained collaboration over short-term sponsorship cycles. The club also reaffirmed that discussions regarding a future main shirt sponsor are ongoing, though no timeline has been set.
