Juventus and adidas have unveiled the club's new 2026/27 Away Shirt, reintroducing one of the most distinctive colours in the club's history while reconnecting with a design that ultimately evolved into a global cultural phenomenon.

Officially, the new shirt celebrates Juventus' earliest years, when the club played in pink before adopting its now-famous black-and-white stripes. Yet over the past decade, the pink Juventus shirt has come to represent something much larger than club heritage.

When a Football Shirt Became Pop Culture

While Juventus highlights the historical significance of pink, the colour also carries a more contemporary legacy.

In 2016, global music superstar Drake was photographed wearing Juventus' pink away shirt featuring Paul Pogba's name on the back. The images quickly spread across social media and fashion publications, helping transform the shirt into one of football's most recognisable lifestyle pieces.

Over time, the jersey became widely known among collectors and football shirt enthusiasts as "The Drake Jersey", illustrating how celebrity influence can reshape the cultural and commercial value of football merchandise far beyond the sport itself.

For many younger consumers, the pink Juventus shirt became associated as much with fashion and music as with football.

A Colour Rooted in Juventus History

The 2026/27 Away Shirt features a soft pink base combined with an engineered zebra-inspired pattern, reflecting one of Juventus' most enduring visual identities.

Black detailing on the collar, sleeve cuffs and adidas three stripes creates a modern contrast, while the return of the adidas Trefoil logo further reinforces the collection's heritage positioning.

The shirt also incorporates adidas' latest CLIMACOOL+ performance technology, designed to improve ventilation and breathability during elite competition.

According to Juventus, the design reconnects the club with its origins while combining high-performance innovation with football culture and off-pitch style.
