FC Barcelona has officially opened a new office in Miami, relocating its Americas headquarters from New York as the club seeks to strengthen its commercial position in one of football's fastest-growing markets.

The move reflects a broader shift taking place across the sports industry, where international rights holders, clubs and leagues are increasingly choosing South Florida as a gateway to both the United States and Latin America.

Located in downtown Miami's One Biscayne Tower, the new office will serve as FC Barcelona's operational hub for the Americas, overseeing commercial partnerships, business development and brand expansion throughout the region.

Why Miami? FC Barcelona

The decision comes at a time when Miami has emerged as one of the most influential cities in global football.

The city will play a central role during the FIFA World Cup 2026, continues to benefit from the commercial impact of Inter Miami and Lionel Messi, and has become an increasingly attractive destination for international companies looking to establish a presence across the Americas.

For FC Barcelona, the relocation appears less about leaving New York and more about positioning itself closer to where football-related business activity is increasingly concentrated. The club described Miami as a strategic gateway to Latin America while also highlighting its importance within the rapidly expanding US football market.

A Commercial Hub

The new headquarters will be responsible for managing Barcelona's commercial assets throughout the Americas and identifying new business opportunities across sponsorship, brand partnerships and fan engagement.

Unlike representative offices that primarily focus on institutional relationships, the Miami operation is designed to function as an active commercial centre. The 225-square-meter facility has been built to host meetings, events and business activations, reflecting the growing importance of local presence in securing partnerships and servicing regional sponsors.

The office builds upon work previously carried out from New York, where Barcelona established its first US headquarters in 2016 as part of its international expansion strategy.

Executive Comments

Rafa Yuste, Vice President of FC Barcelona, described the move as a strategic decision linked to the city's growing role within the football industry.

"Miami has become one of the major football hubs in the United States and represents an extraordinary opportunity to continue expanding our global presence."

The Miami Downtown Development Authority also played a role in attracting the club to the city through its business incentive programme.

Christina Crespi, CEO and Executive Director of the Miami DDA, said the arrival of FC Barcelona reinforces downtown Miami's position as a destination for international organisations and business investment.

Barcelona's Growing Footprint in the Americas

The office relocation forms part of a much larger ecosystem that FC Barcelona has built across the region.

In the United States, the club operates Barça Academy Pro centres in Miami and New York, a residential academy programme in Arizona and additional academies in Chicago, Carolinas, Hoover and Austin.

Beyond the US market, Barcelona maintains academy operations in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, while continuing to develop commercial and institutional relationships throughout Latin America.

The club also confirmed that the Miami office will house the US Barça Foundation, which supports social inclusion initiatives through football in communities across the United States.
